The village of Smilyan is the starting point for more than 12 hiking mountain routes, marked with appropriate markings and places and facilities for recreation. During the summer heat, an attractive place for tourists is the Kamenotroshachatka area, located by the Arda River with built gazebos, places for lighting a fire and preparing a barbecue, including facilities for the youngest tourists.
